Theologian, Writer, Dreamer.

God is worth thinking about.

My writing and teaching aims to help people rethink what it means to believe in God.

I have written about God and Jesus, Sin and Death, and the challenges of belief.

I also write about gender, parenting and religious culture.

Sometimes I host dinners to help people have conversations about God.

And I write a substack with a weekly essay as I read my first time through J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings. You can subscribe here.

Hope always plants seeds.

I write to help people believe again. I trained as a theologian (M.T.S. Duke Divinity, PhD Emory University) and then as a mother. I think thinking well can help us love God better.

You can find my writing at Christianity Today, Plough Quarterly, First Things, Comment and Mere Orthodoxy.

I am currently writing a book about human difference.

I love coffee and dahlias, slow running and my dog.. I have one husband and three kids and we live in Massachusetts where winters make us love summer.
